6/12/2023 0 Comments Ketchikan port map![]() ![]() It was the best decision of our entire trip! We knew they could do that, so we decided to book it. The girl on the phone told me they needed to climb 25-30 steps to get to the first platform. Both ladies are active and determined, but I was still worried they would be able to get up to the platforms. My mother had 2 hip replacements and 2 knee replacements. They had always wanted to try ziplining but were always to afraid. We were going to Alaska on a cruise with our 80 year old mothers. I highly recommend Wild Wolf Tours and Tracy.īefore I booked this excursion online I called and spoke to them. ![]() She is one of the top 3 guides I have ever encountered. Tracy’s attitude, knowledge, pleasant personality and professionalism contributed greatly to this experience. After visiting the park, Tracy dropped us off back at the Cruise terminal. At the park, Tracy walked us through the park and explained all the symbolism of the Totems. After the waterfall, Tracy drove us to Potlatch Totem Park. After the hike, Tracy treated us to some Salmon dip and crackers. While we walked she did a great job explaining about the vegetation and the area in general. ![]() Since we are not young anymore, Tracy was careful to explain about the difficulties on the trail but honestly, the trail was pretty easy to navigate. The 1st stop on our tour was a hike through the forest to a waterfall. This feature was very enjoyable as everyone in the Van could easily hear her as she talked. While driving, she put on a headset and explained things about the island and the people on it. Our driver (Tracy) quickly got us into the van and drove us to the other side of the island. To meet a private tour, you have to exit the terminal from the door on the far right and then walk through a 40 foot container to the separate parking lot designated for private tours. The port at Ketchikan is somewhat confusing. When we got off the ship, we called the contact number and asked if they could get to the port early and they said they would be there in 5 minutes. Upon arrival in Ketchikan, it was raining but we were excited to go on the tour that Wild Wolf Tours had recommended. Since we were only going to be in Ketchikan for a few hours, we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to see much. They were quick to respond to our requests.
